Craig Rathgeb, Chairperson

 A lifelong resident of the Alton-Godfrey Area, Craig has lived in Godfrey for over 24 years. As a charter member and chairperson of the Greater Godfrey Democrats, Craig is excited to have the opportunity to provide representation and opportunities for fellow Democrats in the area.

Laura Shansey, Vice Chairperson

 Laura has served as a volunteer at her children’s schools, service organizations and community groups for over 30 years.  As a local mother, she wants to be involved in building a stronger community and making sure families have a voice in local decisions. She believes getting involved with the local Democratic group is a positive way to meet neighbors, learn about the issues that matter, and make a difference. She wants to support local candidates she has personally gotten to know and are dedicated to working hard for our community.

Patrick Shansey, Secretary

 A lifelong resident of the Godfrey and Alton area, he brings more than 35 years of experience in Information Technology, where he has served as a trusted business advisor and customer service manager.  He is excited to apply his expertise and leadership skills to help strengthen, grow, and serve our community.  Patrick and Laura have been married for 31 years and share two adult children.

Nita Whitten, Treasurer

 Originally from Florissant, she and her husband, Tom, have lived in the Riverbend area since 1993 and in Godfrey since 2001. Their two sons, Quinn and Alex, were born and raised here. Nita appreciates the affordable cost of living, sense of community friendly and welcoming people and the extraordinary history of the area. Nita currently works as the Director of Finance for a local Not for Profit. Nita looks forward to the candidates that the Greater Godfrey Democrats can bring to this community.
